The line up for the Glasgow Summer Sessions in August 2019 have been announced. The Cure, The Foo Fighters and The 1975 will all play at Bellahouston park. This annual music festival has seen some of the best names in music perform since its inaugural year in 2013. Previous years have seen the likes of Kings of Leon, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Kendrick Lamar, Avicci, Eminem, Noel Gallagher, Paolo Nutini, The Killers and Calvin Harris all headline at the summer sessions. The capacity of the park is 35,000 for these events.
The 16th August will see the Cure Headline supported by Mogwai,The Twilight Sad and The Joy Formidable. On the next day 17th August the Foo Fighters will headline with the supporting acts still to be named. The last weekend Sunday 25th August will see The 1975 headline with the support of Twin Atlantic, You Me At Six, Pale Waves, Ten Tonnes and No Rome.
How to get there?
Bellahouston Park is approximately 3 miles to the south west of Glasgow City centre. The nearest train station is Dumbreck station and the nearest underground station is Ibrox. From both of these it is roughly 15 minutes walk to the park.
There are special buses that will run for the Glasgow Summer Sessions from the city centre and the return ticket can be purchased for £5 from happybus.
